Sick Boy

Reece went to the doctor yesterday for a check up. He was a monster! He cried and kicked and screamed. And all they did was measure him, weigh him, look in his ears, etc. No shots or anything remotely uncomfortable. On a positive note, he is perfectly healthy. He weighs 26 pounds and 7 ounces and is 34.5 inches tall. This puts him in the 5th percentile for weight and the 10th percentile for height (which is great, considering at one point he didn't even weigh enough to make the growth chart). The doctor also told us not to worry about his terrible eating habits and feed him whatever he wants (and worry about it when he's closer to 3 1/2 and can be bargained with)!

So after the check up and us thinking we have the healthiest child (he's hardly ever been sick- never even had an ear infection) we wake up at 4:00 this morning to Reece puking. He threw up two more times after that, including once on my face. This is the first time he's ever thrown up and it was a little scary (and pretty gross). He stayed home from school and by afternoon was back to normal. Let's just hope this is the only puking episode this year (even though this is the very beginning of flu season)!
