Christmas Pictures

These are way late, but I'm just now no longer exhausted from Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. Note to self: don't try to cram so much cooking, holiday activities, etc. in two days next year.

We decorated a gingerbread house on Christmas Eve. We'll do this again next year a few weeks before Christmas. The kids liked it (especially eating the candy).

Gaga and Papa came Christmas Eve. We had beef stew and baked apple dumplings. It was delicious, if I do say so myself. :) The kids opened presents from them that evening.

The kids decorated cookies for Santa that night, and ate the frosting and sprinkles straight from the jar. The sprinkles will not be reused.

Caroline got a little carried away.

Reece woke up bright and early Christmas morning, so Darren woke up Caroline. She was NOT happy.

Reece tore through his presents in no time and said that Santa brought him "more than he expected."

They both enjoyed breakfasts of gummy bears and chocolate. We all had underdone strata and cinnamon rolls because my oven is ghetto. Big, obvious hint to Darren: let's buy a new one! And I'll promise to make homemade brownies, cookies, and cakes all the time!

Caroline got a Dora back pack. She loves Dora.
She also got a wooden doll crib and I made my first quilt. It only measures 18" by 22", but it's an honest-to-goodness quilt!

I made a mattress and fitted sheet for it to.

It all matches her duvet and sheet, as seen during this Christmas nap.

Mamaw and Papaw came on Christmas and the kids opened more gifts. I made a Cranberry glazed pork loin and some sides that night. I looked like death- I was so tired by that time!
We had a very, Merry Christmas.
