I admittedly went overboard, not with the budget or food, but with making things. I stayed up way too late most nights. It was like a snowball effect. My thinking went something like this: I think I can make party hats. I might as well make cupcake picks with the leftover paper. Why buy a Birthday banner when you can make one? Then I might as well make favor bags, too... The sewing machine and the hot glue gun saw lots of action in the weeks leading up to this party.
Favor bags with Silly Putty, Crazy Straws, and some other stuff.

We kept the food simple- make your own sandwiches, veggie tray, and you can't have a party for Reece without his favorite food, chicken nuggets!
I just like this picture. They match.
We played games for prizes. There was a bowling game...

Looks like it was a lot of fun!! Can I hire you to my kids' parties?! You did a great job with your "homemade" stuff. I love the hats and cupcakes!!
Thanks, Jessica, but I think I can only handle one big party a year :) Maybe even one big party every other year...
Looks like a lot of fun! Love all your stuff you made, very cute :)
