This past weekend, Darren, Reece and I were able to go back and visit our families. August is a big birthday month around here, and Sophie's birthday was first in line. Sophie (or "Phosie" as Reece says) is Darren's cousin Shauna's daughter (I think that makes Sophie and Reece 3rd cousins). She was pretty entertaining to watch (especially with the cake eating). And don't let the pictures fool you, this was quite a party...by the time it started, there were 40-50 people there! Reece did a really good job at the party, partly because he was busy with trains during the present opening.
On a side note, I didn't get sick once the whole time! Maybe the worst of the sickness is over...let's hope so!

A little comparison: here's Reece on his First Birthday. I was looking forward to him smashing cake all over his face, but this is what we got. He wouldn't touch the cake...he preferred to use a spoon.

Oh my goodness, these are great pictures. You changed your blog layout. I liked the other one, but this one looks good too. Hope you are doing better than I am:)
Well you have been a busy momma! I like your new layout...getting ready for the baby and all. Reece is getting so big and looking so much like his daddy.
